There is a need to develop Occupational Health and Safety policy documents in the geological, mining, petroleum and heavy industry sectors in order to improve the implementation of Law on Occupational Health and Safety, 5^th National program of OHS and other relevant regulations and protect the workers’ health and lives, and prevent from occupational disease.

The Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry is actively working to develop an evidence-based policy document by conducting survey on the OHS compliance among the organizations operating in the mining sector and its workforce.
